Basketball Spotlight Season Preview: New England 13U Preview

MABC Are The Big Dogs Of New England!

The basketball season has arrived and Basketball Spotlight will kick things off with our season previews. We decided to do breakdown each AAU district by age or area and give you an inside look to some of the teams. Here’s look at the New England 13U Division. We understand that these teams don’t play in the same AAU district but as we see more teams from this area our previews will expand next season. (Remember some things can change because no rosters are set.)

Team To Beat: MABC Bengals

They have a serious one/two punch in Adim and Allen. They made some serious noise at a few Spotlight events including a Final Four run at the MDC. During the Nationals they made their presence felt while competing in a tough pool. I’m very anxious to see how this squad will respond to play this season.

Dark Horse: CT Elite

They finished #6 at the Division 2 Nationals. They have one of the best shooters in the region in Thomas “Automatic” Jackson and a few decent players to go around him. They will get tested in their state tourney as CBC should be entering the field this year.

Preseason Player Of The Year: “Hail” Ceasar Adim (MABC)

Few can argue about this kid’s dominance last season. He made the All tournament team at the Grand Finale and MDC while also leading his team to the AGame Tournament Championship. This season many teams will be keying in on Ceasar but he should be up for the challenge.

Fresh Face: Tremont Waters (CT Elite)

Which ever team this kid decides to play with will get a great boost. He has a cleaver handle and the art of scoring the rock from anywhere. We hope he rocks with someone that comes down Route 95 to the Spotlight events so we can see him in the fire.

Preseason 1st Team
Ceasar Adim (MABC)
Jamal Allen (MABC)
Thomas Jackson (CT Elite)
Tremont Waters (CT Elite)
Keandre Fair (CBC)

Other Players To Watch
Chris Jones (CT Elite)
John Jenkins (CT Elite)
Will Hardie (CT Elite)
