One On One Feat. Jayson Tatum (Memphis War Eagles)

Big guards are part of the new trend in basketball. NBA GM’s are drafting them early and often in the first round. Down at the 12U AAU Nationals in July I saw a big guard with enormous potential. His name is Jayson Tatum of the Memphis War Eagles. We sat down with Tatum after his games and here’s our One on One.

BS: What school do you attend?
JT: Chaminade College Prep (St. Louis, Missouri).

BS: Who’s your favorite player?
JT: Kevin Durant because he can do everything.

BS: Who’s the toughest player you ever faced?
JT: Bryton Hobbs.

BS: What’s the strongest part of your game?
JT: Scoring and making decisions with the ball.

BS: What part of your game needs the most work?
JT: Getting stronger and becoming quicker.

BS: What’s your dream college?
JT: Ohio State, Greg Oden and Evan Turner were my favorite players.

BS: Who’s your favorite rapper?
JT: Drake.

BS: What’s your fondest basketball moment?
JT: Finishing 8th at these nationals.

BS: Who would you love to have dinner with?
JT: Kobe Bryant because he’s the best.
