Name: Adrianna Summersett

Position: Point Guard 

Class: 2025 

Breakdown: Summersett was the only female in attendance but held her own. She can handle the rock, create for others and knockdown a jumper if needed. I loved her determination on the floor. She’s going to be a force to reckoned with on the girl’s scene.

Breakdown: Don’t let the shy face fool you because Malachi is a quiet assassin. He can hurt you with an outside shot or while penetrating the lane. He’s very skilled and plays with a high basketball IQ at this age.

Breakdown: Turner-Scott isn’t scratching the surface to his potential. The wiry forward uses his size to contribute on both sides of the ball. He can rebound and block shots on the defensive end while also finishing in transition on the offensive side. Remember this name because you will be hearing about him down the line.

Position: Forward 

Class: 2024 

Breakdown: The strong forward stretched the defense with deep bombs. He has the catch and shoot game that could be a zone buster. We couldn’t really evaluate how much he could handle the rock. Hopefully we can see more of him on the AAU circuit.

Breakdown: Williams has a good game facing the basket. He demonstrated good footwork and touch. He wants to venture to the wing which will require work on his speed and agility which will come in time.

Breakdown: Cody was one of the best on ball defenders in the event. Cody was relentless with stripping ball handlers and playing the passing lanes. On offense he is serviceable to at running the point and should be better with decision making on the high school level.

Breakdown: Maxey has developed into a confident lead guard that has added a handle to his already deadly jumper. He has the size to pass and shoot over defenders while also finishing through contact. We look for him to have a big season on the Spotlight circuit with Team Final.

Breakdown: McKnight was the leading scorer from his team. He got buckets from all three levels. I liked the boogie in his game and his smoothness for his position. On defense he was a ball hawk and played the passing lanes very well. Milbank Flyers have a good player in McKnight.

Class: 2025 

Breakdown: Canada has a good one in this kid. He was explosive when attacking the lane while finishing among the trees. He also has a mean hatchet from deep. He buries the jumper when left open or when defenders are closing out. Memphis has ice water in his veins. He had a great showing in his Spotlight debut.

Breakdown: I see the plan now, it’s for Judah to become a point guard. During the game sessions Judah showed flashes on what could be. He handled the pill, made decisions and scored when the opportunity came. He already has size for the position so all that’s left development.

Breakdown: Parker is a huge upside he had one of the best strokes in the building. The southpaw has enormous range and size. If he keeps growing the Garden State needs to watch out because a big time prospect can be on the horizon. He made a huge splash.

Breakdown: Barnett adapts to the competition as a point guard. He has low dribble and keeps his head high which helps his court vision. If he’s needed to score, he will drop a few buckets of his own. I also like his work ethic during the drill session.

Breakdown: Barnett is still developing his skill set and looks good on the offensive end. He uses his size against smaller guards with a pull up in the lane or a strong finish at the tin. His confidence seems to grow at each event he attends.

Name: Dale “Papi” Harris

Position: Point Guard 

Class: 2027 

Breakdown: The youngest player in attendance went hard in the drills and held his own in the game sessions. Being a coach’s son Harris understands passing and staying away from traps. He will knockdown the open jumper and run the offense if needed. He gained enormous experience from this event.

Name: Chandler Watts

Position: Small Forward 

Class: 2024 

Breakdown: Watts must continue to develop under Delson because he will ultimately become a wing. I like his wingspan and some of his other physical attributes. His wiry frame allows him to block shots and guard the perimeter on defense. As long as he keeps his motor high his offensive production will flourish.

Class: 2024 

Breakdown: What you have to love about Goss is that he leaves it all on the floor no matter who is opposition is. He attacks top prospects the same way he attacks under the radar opponents. He has developed more of a pass first mentality which is important as he transitions into high school. As an 8th Grader he’s the best Capital City point guard regardless of class.

Name: Justin Alejandro

Class: 2025 

Breakdown: Justin played some lock down defense throughout the game sessions. On offense he was able to burst through the first line of defense and made something happen in the lane. I like his smoothness and confidence to attack anyone. I look forward to seeing him on the circuit.

Name: Jaysean Williams

Position: Point Guard 

Class: 2025 

Breakdown: Williams is another tough point guard from Hartford that has made an impact at Basketball Spotlight. Jaysean loves calling for the pick and roll. After dribbling through he usually drops a nice dime the big man. His handle makes him difficult to rip and he lives in the lane. Williams can also drain the outside shot.

Name: Jordan Ghee

Position: Shooting Guard 

Class: 2025 

Breakdown: Ghee took some of the new drills and applied them to his game during the sessions. Instead of his normal catch and shoot method he pumped faked a little more and put the rock on the deck. I also saw him display a more drive, draw and kick game. The more comfortable he gets creating off the bounce the more dangerous prospect he becomes.

Name: Austin Swartz

Position: Small Forward 

Class: 2024 

Breakdown: Austin came the NJ to get some great training and national pub and received both of them. The NC product stood out from the beginning. He went hard in the drills and eyed the top players during game sessions. He scored from all three levels and more impressively went hard on the defensive end. This type of hunger will take this youngster far on the basketball court.

Breakdown: Thomas is a master at creating separation off the dribble. His array of dribble moves opens up the lane like the Red Sea. I also like his unique change of direction. He has the ability to keep defenders off balance. He finishes with a scooping layup, mid-range pull up and floater.

Name: Anthony Mauro

Position: Combo Guard 

Class: 2026 

Breakdown: Mauro doesn’t care about the opposition he’s going to put the rock up. The 6th Grader attacked and scored in various ways. His bread and butter seems to be a nice floater down the lane. The southpaw gets open with a variety of dribble moves. He’s a bonafide bucket getter period.

Name: Isaiah Gore

Breakdown: Usually known for his scoring, Gore made his presence felt on the defensive end and play making. He locked in at times while moving feet laterally. I did see him knockdown a couple of jumpers. He also went hard during the drill sessions.

Breakdown: Henderson is wired to score especially in the open floor or on the fast break. He was able to score around shot blockers while attacking the rim through the seams. His athleticism on both ends should make a nice transition into high school.

Name: Will Spross

Position: Point Guard 

Class: 2025 

Breakdown: Spross has the razzle dazzle in his game and a mean ratchet. He uses an hesitation crossover to help get rid of defenders and will hit a cutting teammate or knockdown a jumper. I love his confidence on the court.

Breakdown: Bush is an all-around performer. He scores, rebounds and looks forward to passing the rock. He plays at his own pace and will also give a great effort on the defensive end. He’s a good complimentary player to any team he joins.

Breakdown: Razzag was a big surprise. He’s very, very explosive when attacking the defense off the dribble. He’s willing to pull the trigger from anywhere on the floor and excels in transition. He’s the type of players you don’t have to motivate. He’s focused on being a killer when he has the rock.

Breakdown: Jones posses some quickness and can see the floor with an occasional look away dime. He also can knock down an open jumper. On defense he pressured the rock from end to end.

Breakdown: The hometown boy was playing against older comp as he was one of the few 6th Graders in attendance. I like his skillset and quick trigger. All he has to do is get stronger which will come with time. He seems to be a gym rat so getting better was almost a given.

Name: Abiel Morales

Breakdown: Morales brings his lunch pail each time out. He’s a scorer from different angles whole also being a scrappy defender. Morales will even stick his head inside to grab some boards. He seems like a winner that will do anything to get the job done. We will look for him on the circuit.

Name: Noah Johnson 

Hometown: Burlington, NJ 

Position: Point Guard 

Class: 2025 

Breakdown: Johnson locked in the defensive end and made it hard from ball handlers to bring the rock up. He moves his feet well and uses his strength to direct his offensive opponents. On the offensive end he powered his way to the hole and absorbed contact before finishing.

Name: DJ Snead

Position: Shooting Guard

Breakdown: When Snead’s jumper wasn’t falling he relied on his attacking game. He used a good floater and some athleticism to finish around the rim. He has improved his handle over the years is now paying dividends. He also shows some promise on the defensive end.

Breakdown: Hall’s game a more substance than it is flair. He surveys the floor well and doesn’t waste time over dribbling. He picks his spots and looks very efficient when attacking. We expect his name to emerge on the South Jersey high school scene in the coming years.

Breakdown: One of the few 6th Graders in attendance, Johnson showed a lot of poise and basketball IQ on the floor. He took care of the rock, didn’t force the issue and scored when the opportunity arrived. This youngster seems to have a bright future.

Baby Baller Profile: Kevin Wheatley (KSK)

Name: Kevin Wheatley 

AAU Team: King Street Kings 

Class: 2027 

Position: Forward 

Event: Tip Off Classic 

Breakdown: Wheatley got big on the blocks. He’s tough, physical and able to score the ball. He scored 22 points against a tough Gauchos squad. He will be a serious problem down the road because he has not even scratched the surface of his ability.

Baby Baller Profile: Infinite Sincere Amen (KSK)

Name: Infinite Sincere Amen 

AAU Team: King Street Kings 

Class: 2027 

Position: Combo Guard 

Event: Tip Off Classic 

Breakdown: Infinite is a smooth scoring guard that plays under control. His ability to create off the dribble allows him to score from all three levels. KSK has a unique player with a very unique name.

Baby Baller Profile: Gulian Harris (New Heights)

Name: Gulian Harris 

AAU Team: New Heights 

Class: 2027 

Position: Combo Guard 

Event: Tip Off Classic 

Breakdown: Harris has raw ability on both sides of the ball. On offense he can create for himself, teammates and score in transition. He has good athleticism which helps him show his versatility of the defensive side of the rock also.

Baby Baller Profile: Everette Kelly Jr. (New Heights)

Name: Everette Kelly Jr. 

AAU Team: New Heights 

Class: 2027 

Position: Combo Guard 

Event: Tip Off Classic 

Breakdown: Kelly Jr. has superior speed while getting to the rack with ease. He weaves in and out of traffic. When driving the paint he can also pull up for a shot or dish it to a teammate that’s cutting. He has a bright future.

Baby Baller Profile: Corey Begleiter (Silverbacks)

Name: Corey Begleiter 

AAU Team: Silverbacks 

Class: 2027 

Position: Combo Guard 

Event: Tip Off Classic 

Breakdown: The smart and focused guard has textbook skills. He can handle, has mid-range game and not afraid off the moment. He played against some of the best players in the region and didn’t back down.

Baby Baller Profile: TJ Aiken (SBA 2027)

Name: TJ Aiken 

AAU Team: SBA 2027 

Class: 2027 

Position: Combo Guard 

Event: Tip Off Classic 

Breakdown: Aiken is a strong off guard and very explosive when attacking the rim. He plays both sides of the rock and can defend multiple positions because of his size. On this level he’s a constant mismatch for the opposition.

Breakdown: Butler is a combo guard who is quicker than he looks. He very skilled with a mid-range game, fills the lane well and will drain the trey ball especially when he is left wide open. When his jumper is dropping consistently he’s that much dangerous.

Breakdown: Ruffin is a lead guard with a crazy handle that keeps defenders on their heels and scores in spurts. He has a few weapons in his arsenal including swag. He plays at an up tempo pace and helped his team win the 5th Grade championship.

In The Spotlight: Judah Hidalgo (Team Final)

Class: 2025 

Position: Shooting Guard 

Event: Tip Off Classic 

Breakdown: Judah consistently showed this past weekend that he was one of the best wing forwards in the class. He finished around the basket with ease and rebounded every missed shot. Judah has nice touch around the basket and has a great IQ for the game. He had a great game in the championship finishing with 23 pts to lead his team to the title.
