Basketball Spotlight Super Showcase Session 2 Announced!




Basketball Spotlight has decided to bring a Session 2 for the Super Showcase. This event will bring together the top 6th, 7th and 8th Graders in the region. Players will be separated by grade and do battle in two games will equal substitution in front of Basketball Spotlight scouts and camera men. We will take Covid-19 precautions concerning play and scheduling. Players in Session 1 can also register for Session 2.

The Basketball Spotlight Super Showcase schedule is below. Please keep in mind that our schedule is reflective of Covid 19 precautions. We ask the parents and spectators to please respect them to the best of their abilities. Please notice your check in time and try to check in as close to your time as possible for safety reasons. Super Showcase Video Highlights Special!




Basketball Spotlight has teamed with Lunae Clips to bring a Super Showcase special. Now players wishing to have highlights from this event can purchase them in advance. Pre-purchase of highlights gives the player the opportunity to leave the event with some great memories. The highlights will be sent to the player for the own usage such as Instagram, Facebook on other social media platforms. 1. Scottie Lewis- (Team Rio) (Florida): Lewis jumped unto the Spotlight scene as a 7th Grader and became an instant star. The box office attraction above the rim prowess and effectiveness on the other end of the floor had the high school AAU directors coming out in droves. He was definitely worth the price of admissions.

Jeff White Jr. has decided to attend Cambridge Rindge Of Latin School in Massachusetts. The former New Jersey resident starred on the Spotlight circuit with T Town Ballers and Joyce Kilmer Middle School. He also should be a nice addition to the Team Spartan AAU Team.

Super Frosh Alex Berry has decided to attend St. Georges School in Rhode Island to start his high school career. Berry starred as one of the top prospects in America with Expressions Elite on the Spotlight circuit. Berry also was a stud at the Future Phenom Camp and Spotlight Showcase events.

Jeremiah Jenkins heads to Fessendon School in Massachusetts to start his high school career. Jenkins was one of the most exciting guards in America as he starred with Expressions Elite on the Spotlight circuit. Jenkins also was a must see at the Future Phenom Camp and Spotlight Showcase events.

Ahmad Nowell has decided to attend Conwell Egan Catholic High School next fall. Nowell was a stud for Team Final during his Spotlight days and should instantly be a force on the high school level. Basketball Spotlight will definitely travel to Fairless Hills, PA to check him out.

FOUR SPOTLIGHT ALUMS DEBUT IN ESPN TOP 25 (CLASS OF 2023)



ESPN dropped their first recruiting ranking for the Class of 2023 and Basketball Spotlight was well represented. Here are the four players that cracked the Top 25 rising sophomores in America. 

Basketball Spotlight Alums In ESPN Top 25 (Class of 2023) 

DJ Wagner: Wagner tops the list #1 and is looked at as the next great guard to come Camden, NJ. Wagner starred at Basketball Spotlight with Team Final and was a considered a prodigy since baby baller age. 

Simeon Wilcher: Wilcher checked at #8 on the ESPN list after showing promise as a frosh at Roselle Catholic. The smooth two guard toured the Spotlight Circuit with PSA Cardinals and should be a dominant player the next three years at the North Jersey powerhouse. 

Akil Watson: Watson was well deserving of his slot at #11 as he was counted on a lot his frosh year at Don Bosco Prep. The wiry wing put NY Dragons and ECE on the map during his Spotlight years. He’s one of the top prospects in thee Garden State for years to come. 

Mackenzie Mgbako: Mackenzie hit the list at #19 after a stellar frosh season at Gil Saint Bernards. The fluid who starred in the Spotlight with Sports U, Riverside Hawks and New Heights among others. He should thrive the next few years in Mergin Sina’s high scoring offense.

Ian Jackson Is Headed To Cardinal Hayes!

Ian Jackson of NYC has decided to take his talents to Cardinal Hayes High School. Jackson starred on the Spotlight circuit with Wiz Kids. Jackson put together one of the best 8th Grade seasons in recent history. He took home MVP honors for the Slam Dunk Breast Cancer, JEM Holiday Classic and Spring Invitational Tournament.
