MDC 12U Top Performers: Fresh Faces

Nwanacho Nwana Played Big This Weekend!

The popular 12U Division at the MDC also had some fresh faces making their MDC debuts. Here’s a look at some newcomers on the Basketball Spotlight scene.

12U Top Performers (Fresh Faces)

Nwanacho Nwana Forward (Gauchos)- Nwana is new to the scene but teams will remember his name. He posted 25 points on MABC and 20 markers on Team Battle. He’s a strong forward that is slowly developing his guard skills. Watch for Nwana he should be climbing the charts soon.

Christian Wilson Guard (Gauchos)- Wilson is a lanky guard that can play either back court position and loves extended for buckets. He has enough handle to get room on defenders and bury home the jumper. Once he grows into his body he should be another good one from the Gauchos stable.

Amanie Chraddock Guard (Gauchos)- Chraddock is a strong combo guard that made things happen all weekend. He looked good on clear outs and cuts through defenders with sharp dribble drives. With Paul Suber in his ear expect Chraddock to only get better.

Rasol Hinson Guard (SC Elite)- Hinson looked good at times during his MDC debut. I like his size and the way he can get past defenders using multiple moves. He will be one to watch in the coming years from the South Jersey area.

Jamir Moultrie Guard (DC Assault)- The newcomer from DC Cord’s seemed very comfortable in his semifinal game against MABC. The combo chipped up the Boston boys for 19 markers. He might be the other scoring option and ball handler this squad needed.

Chris Lykes Guard (DC Assault)- Lykes used some sharp shooting and tough finishes to help his narrowly defeat the Gauchos. The compact ball handler knows how to dribble low and finds his way anywhere on the floor. If you sleep on him because of his size you will pay for it.

Kaison Morgan Guard (KBR Raptors)- Morgan caught my eye not with his scoring but his speed and ability to make plays. He is a point guard that has the moves to control the game on this level. He should make an impact in the Shore area for years to come.

Brandon Blount Forward (Kingdom Elite)- Blount was the leading scorer in the 12U Blue Division. He averaged over 20 points a contest including 22 points against KBR. This forward knows how to put the ball in the hole.

Malique Medler Forward (KBR Raptors)- Medler was the leading scorer for the runner up crew. The stocky southpaw mowed down the defense with strong drives and easy buckets. His strong frame made it hard for defenders to strip him and keep him out the paint.
