NY 14U Season Preview: Team Scan Reloads

Team Scan Is The Early Favorite In The Big Apple.

The NY Metropolitan 14U Division should be a dandy this year. The talent is thick in the Big Apple mixed with experience and fresh blood. Here’s our brief preview and please understand this is just our opinion and should be taken as such. Note (Player’s teams may change after this preview has been completed.)

NY 14U Preview

Team To Beat: Team Scan
TS returns a wealth of experience with their guard trio of Temple Gibbs, Devonte Green and Bryce Aiken. If they add the right post presence it should be very difficult to knock these dudes off. They will get tested early as they will be headed to the Tip Off Classic.

Dark horse: New Renaissance
Greg Tejadi returns to retake the land he ruled for years with New Heights. Gilberto Cue mans the backcourt while Terrell Turner patrols the lane. Rumor has it that the “Bed Stuy Bully” will be flying up on occasion to join this crew. If so than Cue and Felder will form one of the meanest backcourts around.

NY Preseason Of The Year: Devonte Green
The smooth two-guard will be looked at to take TS over the top. He’s a natural scorer with a strong frame and good body control. He will benefit from playing with some of the savviest guards in the country. All eyes will be on Mr. Green during this season.
