14U Nationals Preview: Top Scoring Guards

Isaiah Whitehead Is One Of The Scoring Guards In America!

The 14U AAU Nationals will be underway in a few days so we decided to breakdown some of the top players that will be making the trip to Orlando. Here’s a look at the top scoring guards headed to Disney World.

Top Scoring Guards

Isaiah Whitehead (Juice All Stars)- Whitehead has been able to dominate in the spotlight and pressure. The athletic wing guard is very fluid in the open floor and explodes to the tin when slashing. Orlando is the big stage so expect Isaiah to shine once again.

Shepard Garner (Youth Interlock)- Garner is the most focused and intense youngster I’ve seen in a while. He goes hard on both ends of the floor and usually makes the correct decision with the pill. This event will give him a chance to let the nation see how good he really is.

Conrad Chambers (Team Scan)- Once Chambers got comfortable with Team Scan his play exploded. He plays either guard position and looks his best when attacking the tin. He’s capable of shaking the boots off defenders and finishing with either hand.

Jared Wilson-Frame (CBC)- Wilson-Frame is one of the most talented players in this class. Few people know about this kid but this might be his coming out party. He plays the game above the rim especially in transition and is just a flat out scorer.

Mahir Johnson (Team Nelson)- Johnson was one of the most improved players in the region. He was already a spot up shooter now he has added the ability to put the rock on the floor. He needs to score in bunches for the team to be successful in Orlando.

Isiah Powell (Team NJABC)- Powell is shaking a late season injury but should be ready to go in Orlando. He can stroke it from the midrange or behind the arc. Team NJABC will be counting on Powell heavy for perimeter scoring and defense.

Jalen Adams (MABC)- The streaky shooter has good range and is a superb athlete in the open floor. Adams is a tough defender and plays the passing lanes well. MABC will need a shot in the arm in Orlando and Adams could give them that.

Cheddi Mosley (Team Scan)- Mosley might be one of the best shooters in the country. His ability to drain the outside should open up the defense for dribble drives involving his teammates. His size will help his game translate to the next level.
