12U AAU Nationals Day 5: Top Performers Part 2

Harry Giles (Team Felton)

We are down to the Final Four teams at the 12U AAU Nationals Championship. It’s been a long and exciting week and Basketball Spotlight enjoyed every minute of it. Here’s a look at the top performers of the day.

Day 5 Top Performers

Harry Giles Forward (Team Felton)- Your mouth has to water when watching Giles play. He made a couple of dribble moves that would make a college coach offer immediately. If this kid continues to work hard the sky is the limit.

Keenan Black Forward (SC Ravens)- Black uses an improved handle to his advantage. Most teams have to place a big forward on him and he broke down anyone in his face. Keenan also knows how to create space to get his shot off.

Gilberto Cue Guard (KSK)- Cue stepped up against New Heights in the Sweet 16. His team was down 9 towards the end of the third quarter and he went on a scoring spree. He was knocking down long treys and finishing off plays in transition.

Ty Graves Guard (SC Ravens)- Graves was on fire yesterday. He stroked the rock from very deep and his confidence is on another level right now. He might be the best pure shooter in Hampton right now.

Chris Lykes Guard (DC Assault)- This pint size scoring guard had a great day. In both contest he led the team in scoring using runners in the lane and high arching treys. This youngster has the heart of a lion.

Edwin Cancel Guard (PR Elite)- Edwin is the floor general for this team. He’s not super quick but is a steady ball handler and play maker. Hopefully we can get this squad over for a spotlight event so we can see Cancel again.

Jawon Pass Forward (Georgia Stars)- The athletic wing does well when running with Augustine. He converts well in transition and will help out on the glass when asked. I like his springs and slashing ability.

Edrice Adebayo Forward (Virginia Panthers)- Edrice is like a wall on this level. He tosses back shots and is a little more polished than some of his peers. Standing close to 6’7 Adebayo should have a bright future.
