Can "Showtime" Help Dc Assault Go Far?

The Big Show is about to go down in Hampton, Virginia. Some of the top teams in the country will be in the building. Basketball Spotlight will be reporting daily and giving you exclusive coverage. We will be starting out our coverage with in depth previews. Here's a look at the top teams from Pennsylvania thru D.C. headed to Hampton.

12U Nationals Preview Part 3 (Mid Atlantic USA)

DC Assault (Gorham): The PV Champs have "Showtime" back so they should be ready to go. They have a balanced attack and always find a way to snatch the game away from opponents. Things should get pretty interesting with this group.

DC Assault (Clark): These boys are due for a huge breakout. They have one of the top 3 somes in the country with Cowan, Gardner and Watson. They also have the big game experience to go very far in this event. They tangle with Team Battle in pool play.

PTS Pistons: The Pistons have leaped into the big time. Alex Leder can really stroke the pill and they should be battled tested enough for this event. Time tell because the tipoff is very soon.

Annadale Bulldogs: This is a well coached bunch and Randall Gaskins is capable of lightning up the scoreboard during any outing. They have the tools to surprise a few teams in their pool.

Sam Cassell All Stars: These boys are very hungry for some meat. They should have a loaded roster and will be ready to prove that they are still among the elite on this age level. They have an interesting matchup against NJ Got Game in pool play.

Central Penn Ballers: These group has some decent pieces and I think they can sneak up on a team or two. AJ Perez has big tournament experience and that should help this group out.

Peacemakers: The Mid Atlantic champs are rugged enough to carve out some wins. I like their backcourt and the development of Quadir Phillips. The Purple and Gray are on their way.

Philly Triple Threat: PTT did damage for their first year. This is a team no one wants to see in their pool. If you face them get ready for a serious fist fight.
