Diary Of A Baller: Lamarr "Fresh" Kimble (Team Final) Entry #12

Hello Basketball World. It’s your boy "Fresh" back again to tell you about my week. This week was about getting prepared. Monday was the first time I had middle school practice and Team Final practice in the same day. It was challenging for me because I was so out of shape and I had to work harder than usual. Tuesday was the same thing middle school practice, then Team Final. In my middle school practice we did a lot of conditioning drills with the weight ball, jump rope, and etc.. In Team Final practice we got up a lot of shots and went over plays. Wednesday was my off day from practice but, I worked out a little by myself in the basement. I was doing push-ups, sit-ups, calf raises, and my explosiveness. Thursday I had another middle school and Team Final practice. Both practices we worked on plays and defense. Friday was another day off from practice to get my mind focused on the Grand Finale tournament.

Saturday was tip-off for the Grand Finale, Team Final started off the first day with New Heights and MABC. We came out very sluggish in both games and are minds were not focus on the game. We were so out of shape like never before and with 6 players that made the whole tournament hard for us. But, through all that we won both games one mercy and one double digit. Sunday, we started our day off with Team Scan NY. They came out quick on us and got a slight lead. But, through all that adversity we pull it out and mercy ruled them. Our second game was against Team Scan NJ/ KYDA. We started off better than any game the whole tournament and it was one sided the whole game. We pulled it out by double digits and got our revenge back from that lost at last year’s Clash for the Cup. The championship game we played underdog F.A.C.E.S who gave us a run for our money. It was a dog fight but we pulled it out and brought the crown back home. I just wanted to say I'm sorry to my team for not pushing them in practice and letting them joke around which made us not be in Team Final shape. But, I just wanna say that I will not let that happen again. So we will be better prepared for the next and upcoming tournaments. Til next week "Remember the hard part should be in practice, the easy part should be the game".

Stay tuned for more from Lamarr "Fresh" Kimble.
