Basketball Spotlight MDC 13U Top Forwards

Kylia Sykes (Wilson Blue Devils)

The Basketball Spotlight MDC 13U Division talent was so deep we decided to break it down by position. Here’s a breakdown of the top forwards that got busy this weekend.

Basketball Spotlight MDC 13U Top Forwards

Kylia Sykes Forward (Wilson Blue Devils)- I remember Sykes from the D2 Nationals last summer and he still has an impressive game. He demonstrated great athleticism and willingness to bang inside especially against the Gauchos. His lanky build indicates that he has a lot of growing to do which means he could blossom into a top notch prospect very soon.

Ray Montilous Forward (F.A.C.E.S.)- Montilous took over down the stretch in their quarterfinal match up with the Gauchos. He played with a sense of urgency when attacking the tin and scored on three crucial possessions. He finished the game with 16 points. Ray proved once again to be a gamer.

Ceasar Adim Forward (MABC)- The tenacious competitor completed his Spotlight season fighting hard at the MDC. He drove to the basket like a bull and was a constant headache on the glass for the opposition. He was a joy to watch this year.

Christian Ford Forward (F.A.C.E.S.)- The lefty saved his best game for the final four win against CT Elite. He posted 16 points and played with a lot of energy while helping the Killer Bees reach the promise land. Good job Mr. Ford.

Greg Fernando Forward (Expressions)- The lanky forward came up big in the championship game of the Blue Division. He dominated along the baseline and used his length to score.

Nick Brooks Guard (Playaz)- The high flying wing player and put up buckets in a hurry. He looks very good in transition and is willing to help out on the glass. Nick showed the ability to knockdown the deep ball especially in their pool matchup against F.A.C.E.S.. Brooks also has the ability to play above the rim and should become a good prospect.
