AGame Super Shootout 13U Recap: New Name Same Results (Team Final Triumphs)

#2 Team Final Cashes In

Jamir Harris pumped in a game high 36 points and Darius Roundtree added 13 markers as #2 Team Final defeated #9 MABC 77-58 to win the AGame Super Shootout 13U title. Ceasar Adim finished with 24 points for MABC in the loss.

Top Performers

Jamir Harris Guard (Team Final)- Harris capped off a huge weekend in spectacular fashion. On Saturday he led his middle school team to the Run For The Roses title while taking home MVP honors. Jamir still had enough in the tank to give the competition the business at the AGame tourney. He charged the bucket like a raging bull and destroyed whoever was in his way. Harris banged home 5 treys and scored in the paint at will. I also need to mention that he performed on this level after injuring his nose against the Gauchos in the semifinals. This weekend definitely earned him a nickname. Introducing Jamir “The Terminator” Harris, he will destroy you.

Brad Hawkins Guard (Team Final)- Brad had a solid second day. He handled some of the ball handling duties and decision making. Mostly he beat his opponent off the dribble and finished at the cup. He’s grown a few inches and continues to play a physical style on both ends of the floor.

Darius Roundtree Forward (Team Final)- Roundtree is playing with a new level of confidence. His turnaround jumper was money in the bank. He also has a decent face up mid range shot from the wing area. If he continues in this direction he might develop into a wing guard or at least a small forward.

Keith Washington Guard (Team Final)- “The Microwave” made some big plays including an off balance reverse layup that helped to put the game out of reach. Keith has definitely improved his ball handling especially going east to west. We expect some big things from Washington this year.

Ceasar Adim Forward (MABC)- Adim took home the silver medal but you can’t knock his effort. He was very dominant on the glass and did everything possible to carry the squad. I do think he needs to develop more perimeter skills particularly a jump shot to help him once he enters high school. He won’t be able to overpower opponents on that level.

Jamal Allen Guard (MABC)- Allen sliced through the TF defense when the game was still close. Defenses know Allen is going to go left and still have a hard time slowing him down. Maybe because he also has a mean ratchet that he will let go from very deep.
