AC Showcase 14U Preview: It's Gong Down In America's Playground!

Team Scan Could Be #1 After The AC Showcase

The 14U Division should be one to remember. Some of the top teams in the region will be getting it on for the crown. Here’s a look at which squads will be tangling this weekend.

AC Showcase 14U Preview

Team Scan: If TS wins the AC Showcase they will move into our #1 spot. Their recent resume includes a Clash For The Cup finals appearance and MIT Championship. This group is turning into one of the most popular squads around.

F.A.C.E.S.: The Boys In Black had an early exit at the Clash For The Cup so they are anxious for some get back. They have an interesting pool game against Team Rebels. This contest should be very intense.

Expressions: Yes, they are in baby. The Boston Bad Boys have decided to come to the fire. They are looking for some respect and a deep run in AC should get it done. We will be definitely watching them closely.

The City: Time is running out on this group qualifying for Summer Slam. But word is out that the entire squad will be in AC including a new face. It’s now or never for this squad. Let’s Go!

Team Rebels: These boys have been hovering around and should be ready to cash in. The talent is there and they have the toughness to make a run. It’s a matter of putting it all together at the right time. We will see this weekend.

Team Takeover: The MDC Champs will be making their first trip up this season. Jabari Greenwood is a budding star with loads of potential. They have the length to make a serious run for the crown. I also love their experienced backcourt of Kevin Wormley and Jeff Duwhn.

Philly Triple Threat: No more Blue Division for this group. They are officially in the heat. We will be watching them closely to see how they respond. They have some quality ball handlers and athletic forwards in their stable.

Linden Ballers: The Ballers are in Orange for this one baby. Last year they made a run to the finals of the AC Showcase and Coach Mayes might have his rabbit’s foot in his pocket again.

Positive Force: High scoring guard Mikey Dixon and his bunch were late additions to the party. He put up serious numbers at the Clash For The Cup and we are anxious to see him in action again.

SJ Blitz: The Blitz has arrived to the dance. This will be our first look at this group this season. Combo guard Myles Powell can score in a hurry so look for big numbers from this kid.

Albany Dream Team: With Juwan Gooding playing with Expressions, ADT will have to feed a slimmed down Marcus Jackson in the post. This kid has taken great measures to improve his body and endurance.

Hollis Biddies: This scrappy bunch leaves everything on the floor. They have typical NYC guard play which means they love to penetrate. Christian Vital is capable of shooting lights out at times.

NJ Pirates: A party is not complete without the Pirates. Coach Torres finds away to have his team lurking around the competition. Guard Zachery Torres is beginning to come into his own. This should help this squad make a little run.

Team MVP: Kevin Alexis has been putting up numbers for years but is still in search of his first Spotlight crown. This weekend he should have the troops ready to cross the threshold and hold that banner.

T Town Ballers: Quayson Williams can put up numbers and also run the squad. We will have plenty of time to check him out during this event. These Trenton Boys play hard no matter the situation or score.
