Grand Finale 08 Preview: 11U Division

Will Team Battle Bring Home Another Crown?

The 11U Division at the Holiday Classic should be very interesting. Some of the top squads are returning and we also have some new faces mixed with out of the area talent. Here’s a breakdown of who’s in the building.

11U Grand Finale of 08 Preview

Team Battle: The areas #1 team returns to cap of the calendar year with another title. The trophy shelf is stacked with several crowns and they are still hungry for more. Mr. Everything Tyus Battle is back with a few inches on his frame. Joining him is the core Jamir Harris, Edriese Patterson, and Chase Barney’s. Word also has it that super guard Leondre Washington has come over from Riverside. If so then they should be ready.

F.A.C.E.S.: No NJ tourney is complete without a F.A.C.E.S. VS. Team Battle matchup and we might be headed to another as the Newark based squad returns RJ Cole, Ray Montilous and Shyquan Gibbs. You knew they will be bringing their toughness and some explosive play. Things should be very interesting.

Gauchos: Here come the Choz, The Gauchos impressed me in the finals of the Game Over tourney. They are back with a serious crew including George Pena, Brandon Randolph, Romello Rashard and big time baller Shamorie Pond that came over from Riverside.

KBR Raptors: One of the best games of the season featured KBR and F.A.C.E.S at the MDC. KBR has a crew of ballers including Cami Calderon. They don’t back down from no one and should be ready for wreck. I can’t wait.

PTS Pistons: The Pistons traveled up I95 for Maryland and we welcome you to Basketball Spotlight. I haven’t seen this team rock but the basketball from the area is something serious thus they shouldn’t be different.

Bay State Magic: The Big Fish from Beantown also hit I95 from up north and are here to show that they have players Boston. They will be tested early as they must face NJ perennial power Team Battle during pool play. It’s On!
