Basketball Spotlight Tip Off Classic 7th Grade Best Of The Best And All Tournament Team

The Basketball Spotlight Tip Off Classic 7th Grade brought some of the top talent in the country. Here’s a look at the Best Of The Best and All Tournament Team.

Basketball Spotlight Tip Off Classic 7th Grade Best Of The Best

Best Performer: Zion Cruz (Team Rio National)-Cruz grew a few inches and punished the opposition with his size. He scored at ease at times in transition while also being able to dominate the game when necessary. He’s making his mark on the Spotlight circuit as a player to be reckoned with.

Best Play Maker: Noel Echevarria Guard (PSA Cardinals)-Echevarria left the event as the name of most people lips. The 6’2 guard can do it all and makes it look natural. He has the game and the instincts to translate to the next level without a problem. He has a name that will carry on for years.

Best Prospect: Dariq Whitehead Guard (Team Magic)-Whitehead has the size and the tools to make a major impact on the next level. He scores at will by attacking the basket and stretching out for buckets. But what really impressed us was his ball handling and playmaking ability. This kid seems to have the goods.

Best Floor General: Jayden Pierre (Team RIO National)-Pierre was the captain of this ship with his performance. He controlled the tempo while dropping dimes. He also looked good hitting his pull up jumper in the lane. We look for him to expand his game on this level.

Best Shooter: Simeon Wilcher (PSA Cardinals)-This kid lit up the semifinals against Riverside. He has a confident and smooth stroke. It’s in his bloodline and he doesn’t mind making the other team pay. His shot is pure water.

Best Fresh Face: Jaewuan Abrams Guard (Hoop Kingz)-Abrams came through like a bulldog and made his name known at the Tip Off Classic. He broke defenders whenever he wanted while scoring with great floaters and finishes at the cup. His toughness is something that can’t be taught.

Best Defender: Jalen Duren (Team Final)-This rim protector made sure his guards had an anchor on defense. He was able to alter shots and grabbed rebounds in heavy volume. Coaches will have to have him on their defensive scouting report in the near future.
