Basketball Spotlight Feature: Clarke Sees Big Picture

Aaron Clarke (Team Scan)

Aaron Clarke has been known throughout his grammar school career as a scorer and dead-eye shooter. But before he reaches high school he wanted to add some other elements to his game thus he joined Team Scan. Team Scan director and 8th Grade coach Terrance “Munch” Williams was on Clarke from the Day 1. “From the first day he walked into the gym he was required to be a vocal leader, play the defensive side of the ball with the same passion he does on offense, start the beginning stages of being a point guard and most importantly think long term about his career” said Williams.

Clarke displayed some of his new techniques during the Tip Off Classic and the East Coast Super Skillcase in Atlantic City where he finished as one of the top players in the event. Coach Williams sees a bright future for Clarke. “In my opinion, if he remains a humble hard working person he is, he will receive a free education in college and possibly make some money playing the game of basketball” he finished.

Check Clarke and his Team Scan teammates as they join the rest of the top teams at the Clash For The Cup. Stay tuned as Basketball Spotlight brings you more news from around the country.
