The Basketball Spotlight 8th Grade Top 10 has a new #1 team and another new member. Remember these rankings are just our opinion of who are the Top 10 teams in the region.

Basketball Spotlight 8th Grade Top Presented By AGame Team Apparel

1. Team IZOD: This crew defeated then #1 Playaz in Massachusetts to win the Jr. Hoop Hall Classic title over MLK weekend. Also the “Supreme Team” seems to be back as Jahvon Quinerly returned to rock with his old mates. Now we will see how their fare at the Clash.

2. Playaz: PBC took a tough one on the chin in Jr. Hoop Hall Classic in the finals against IZOD. They are not scheduled for the Clash but I know we will see them soon.

3. Team Takeover: TT breezed through the 6th Man Warriors MLK tournament in Maryland. Now they will be their squad to the Spotlight test again at the Clash. I look forward to seeing them in two weeks.

4. Team Final: TF returns after a good Tip Off Classic showing. Right now they sit comfortably in the Top 5 hopefully they can stay there.

5. Rens: The Rens won the P.A.T. Invitational. Now they will try to revenge their Tip Off Classic showing with a good outing at the Clash for The Cup.

6. Team Scan: TS made it to the semifinals of the Jr. Hoop Hall Classic and they also will be trying to make a deep run at the Clash For The Cup.

7. SHA Elite: This balanced squad made their name known during the after winning the Tip Off Classic. They are probable for the Clash. We will keep you posted.

8. Maryland Sports Scholars: MSS makes their Top 10 debut after winning the MLK Classic. Hopefully we will get another look at them during the DMV Takeover.

9. PYO: The Philly Boys bullied their way into the Top 10 after making it to the finals of the MLK Classic. I know we will be seeing this bunch very soon.

10. Team Twelve: The Brooklyn Boys hold on to the last spot after losing in the final four of the MLK Classic. We will see them at the Clash.
