Diary Of A Baller: Anthony "Champ" Mosely (Delaware) Entry #17

Basketball Spotlight Fam it’s your boy Champ with some more about the life of an eighth grade basketball player. This week was a good week. Interim grade sheets came out. AAU season is in full swing and finally my Dad and I got back in the gym.

Ok fam lets talk about school. Every time I see a college, high school, or AAU coach the first thing out of their mouth’s is how you doing in school. I always say I’m doing good whether it is true or not. As I get older it is sinking in why they always ask. Well I am happy to say that just like basketball you got to put in the work to get good results and I like my results. On my interim report I have 7 classes and here are my grades Technical Career Exploration 95, Social studies 91, Math 80, Science 90, English 90, Exploring Business 95, and finally in PE 98. Keep working hard in class everyone trust me good grades are important to our success.

AAU is back and I love it. We had a DC Assault workout on Sunday and it was fabulous. We started with stretching and a light jog, and then we went right into transition drills, which are my favorite. After that we did a lot of different shooting drills and then we got to the best part, which is scrimmaging. Also this week we had our first official practice with the 14U team. Practice was good and we worked really hard. We stretched and ran, we did the blowout drill, we shelled, and also did some three on three work.

After the Middle School season I decided that 3 days off would be good. When those three days were over my dad and I got back in the gym. It had been a while since he had worked me out. We got to the gym and we did jump rope work, plyos, core, conditioning, shooting, and finally ball handling. Well that’s all for this week, check me out next week.

Champ Out!!!
