Team Scan Earns More Hardware

Naim Thomas scored 17 points and Joe Mbisike added 11 markers as Team Scan defeated Team NJ ABC 67-55 to win the 14U title at the NJ Got Game Tourney. Kaison Randolph finished with a team high 19 points in the loss.

Top Performers

Naim Thomas Guard (Team Scan)- Thomas showed his mid range game and using the floater. He got into the teeth of their zone and drop in buckets all day. On defense helped led the pressure attack and got a few steals. He played very big in the finals.

Joe Mbisike Forward (Team Scan)- Joe did work inside and along the baseline. He got behind the zone and dropped in buckets. He is a little undersized for a power forward but has the strength and motor to get the job done.

Shavar Newkirk Guard (Team Scan)- The heady point guard picked his spots when penetrating and running the show. His ball handling and ability to drive both ways strong makes him a serious threat at all times.

Tyler Kohl Forward (Team NJ ABC)- Kohl capped off a huge weekend with a decent final showing. This youngster is very light on his feet and has many moves on the blocks. His face up shot is wet and I like the way he changes his shot in mid air. This kid has shown tremendous strides. Introducing “Baby Barkley”.

Kaison Randolph Forward (Team NJ ABC)- Once again Randolph led the attack. The lanky forward continues to destroy defenses with his ball handling and ability to finish. I also got a chance to see him attempt a few outside shots and must say his form looks good.
