Clash For The Cup 7th Grade Best Of The Best and All Tournament Team

The 7th Grade Division of the Clash For The Cup was well balanced across the board. There were close games and a wealth of talent. Here’s a look at the Best Of The Best and All Tournament Team.

Clash For The Cup 7th Grade Best Of The Best

Best Performer: Kino Lilly (Team Takeover)
Lilly caught fire in the championship game by nailing five treys. He capped off a good weekend with sharp shooting against their fierce rivals.

Best Prospect: Drissa Traore (PSA Cardinals)
I think I have a good eye when determining a prospect and Traore definitely falls into this category. The lanky forward shows promise while even putting the rock on the floor. He could be a scary player down the road.

Best Scorer: Ryan Conway (USA Select)
Everyone knows Conway can score the rock and he didn’t disappoint in Neptune. He pumped over 25 point per game and did it against top notch competition. This kid scores like we breathe.

Best Defender: Dewan Montague (B’More United Thrill)
Montague ability to alter or block shots is a big part of Thrill’s success. He allows the perimeter defenders to take chances especially in the passing lane.

Best Floor General: Elijah Hawkins (New World Unlimited)
Hawkins let the region know that he’s here to play. He ran the show and was able to drop dimes to teammates. You also have to love his handle.

Best Playmaker: Jalen Hall (Team Takeover)
Hall penetrating and attacking style puts enormous pressure on the defense. He returned this season with a big name and lived up to the billing.

Best Fresh Face: Demetri Stragalions (USA Select)
Stragalions made his Spotlight debut with the star studded USA Select. He proved to be very smooth on the wing. He was able to impress us all weekend and we look forward to seeing him again soon.

Best Versatility: Ahmad Harrison (B’More United Thrill)
Harrison’s ability to play either guard spot makes him a dangerous matchup. If he continues to grow things should only translate into high school.
