Diary Of A Baller: Nate "The Great" Pierre (Plainfield, NJ) Entry #2

Nate Sleeping ON NC Trip

Hello basketball world! I hope you guys enjoyed your Christmas. I know I did. I am going to start from Monday Christmas Eve.

Monday was Christmas Eve. My family did not know that we were coming down to North Carolina. We had fun the entire ride down making my grandmother think we couldn't make it this Christmas. The entire family would be there but not us. When we arrived it was fun yelling "surprise”! Everyone was so happy. My grandmother and great-grandmother was crying in joy. It was cool. I love seeing my family. I got a lot of gifts and had great food. I enjoyed my Christmas Eve.

Tuesday was Christmas Day. Family was coming in and out of the house the entire day. My family is a big sports family, especially basketball and football. The entire day we sat around ate good food and watched all of the Christmas Day games. I mean we saw the Boston and Nets game all the way to the Denver nuggets and the LA clippers game. We had a big discussion about who shot free throws better Shaq or Dwight. We found out they were just about the same. That was a fun day.

Wednesday, I had to do my take home math test. That was the hardest take home test ever! Teachers always make them more difficult. Crazy! Thanks to my cousin Danielle who is a brain helped me understand and feel more comfortable. I think I could get an A or A+. I worked really hard. After all of that craziness I packed my bag to go sleep over my Aunt's house. First we went to the mall. I got a new iphone case and got NCAA March madness. I also got a shirt made. It says Thing 1 like the Dr. Seuss character from the book "The Cat in the Hat". Then we went to Dave and Busters to celebrate my birthday (since I had a game on my birthday). We won so many tickets that the people in the store asked if we could come back to get the prizes.

Thursday, I went to work out with my brother Joshua and my dad. It was a really intense workout. I f we missed a free throw my dad made us run a 17. I ended up running one 17. I was so upset with myself. But then my brother and I played these two kids in 2on 2. They were in the same grade and same age as us. You know how that was going to end up. Joshua was making NBA 3’s and I was just playing my game. We were taking turns going in. We blew them out. I love playing 2 on 2 with my brother we always win. We went back to the mall and I shopped like crazy.

Friday started off boring. Then my dad says get dressed we’re going to a high school game in Raleigh. So I got dressed and it took us 2 hours. We ended up seeing my big bro Karl Towns play. We saw Micah Lancaster. Shout to Micah Lancaster for those passes for free food. That chili was good! When we got back to my grandma's house my uncle and aunt and their three kids (my cousins) were there. We were pretending we were monkeys. My little cousins were jumping all over the place. I love being the oldest cousin.

Saturday, We actually chilled out. That is something i hardly do. In my head I was thinking as soon as I get home I have to get back to work. But, i decided to catch up on watching college basketball. My grandmother gave us an input plug. You’re probably thinking why a input plug. Well Joshua forgot the plug for the Xbox so we didn't play video games the entire week. I was itching to play some 2k13 and NCAA March Madness. I was so happy. I played for like 6 Hours literally. Then I had to say my goodbyes to my family that was leaving because I was leaving the next day. Then I was watching TV and on the phone the entire night till I fell asleep. I was so tired.

It‘s Sunday and it is sad saying goodbye to my grandmother and great-grandmother. We are leaving North Carolina to go back up north. I'm going to miss my family. I am going to be on the road the entire day and night. Wish me luck for on my adventure through the states. Phone is charged, I should be alright. Ok basketball world you guys read about my week.

Hope you guys enjoyed it and enjoy your New Years. What are your goals for 2013? Peace Nate is out!!
