Tip Off Classic 6th Grade Top Performers: Part 2 (By Randy D. Smith)

Tyler Brelsford (ETU Select)

6th Grade Top Performers Part 2 The Tip Off Classic 6th Grade Division took place at Georgian Court University but Basketball Spotlight scout Randy D. Smith was in the building. Here’s his second report from the 6th Grade level.

Tip Off Classic 6th Grade Top Performers

Tyler Brelsford Guard (ETU Select)- Brelsford is a crafty point guard with lightning quick speed and a ball handle that gets him anywhere on the floor. He does an excellent job of penetrating the lane and finding open teammates.

John Wilson Guard (Team First)- Wilson is made in the mode of traditional NYC point guards. He possesses terrific ball handling with a lot of flare and flash but his substance is what really stands out. He could run my team any day.

Eddie Davis Guard (New Heights)- Davis is an excellent on ball defender. The steady point guard gives the team a calming demeanor once he is in the game. He’s very coachable and able to adjust to the game easily.

RJ Weise Guard (MJ Mavericks)- This floor general is like the coach on the floor. He has a mature approach to the game, soft outside shot and ability to get to the rim. I see some good things in his future.

Joe Baloachino Guard (MJ Mavericks)- Joe has a pure ratchet from the perimeter. He plays both guard spots well and should round out to be a pretty good high school player.

Tay Allen Guard (6th Man Warriors)- Allen is a versatile player who can play a multitude of positions. He has great body control and can absorb contact before he finishes at the rim. His excellent handle allows him to get into the lane and use his midrange floater.

Jalen Echevarris Guard (DEMI)- Jalen is the inspirational leader for this squad. The gritty guard is an extension of the coach on the floor. He keeps his squad focused while running the team.
