AGame Super Shootout Day 1: 12U Top Performers

Jabri McCall (Flash Basketball)

The AGame Super Shootout got off to a great start and Basketball Spotlight was in the building as promised. We would like to kick off our coverage with the Top Performers from the 12U division.

12U Top Performers Day 1

Jabri McCall Guard (Flash Basketball)- McCall arrived late but I owed him some love from the AC Showcase. The slender wing forward and score in bunches and in a hurry. His ball handling is decent but can get better and he seems to be nowhere near his potential.

Kawon Spencer-Taylor Guard (Flash Basketball)- Kawon has some good tools and size for the guard spot. Sometimes he can get in a little trouble by over dribbling and getting caught in the air. His athleticism and ability to create plays will help him in the long run.

Micah Kerr Forward (KBR Raptors)- Kerr plays hard inside and has a soft touch around the basket. He hammered the boards and scored on a couple put backs. He had a decent showing.

Kenny Pickett Guard (KBR Raptors)- Pickett shot the ball well from the perimeter and made some good plays. He has a high basketball IQ and knows his way around the floor.

Kasahn Morgan Guard (KBR Raptors)- The lefty was smooth enough to get around defenders with a slick dribble and cleaver moves. Once he got into the lane he squeezed between shot blockers to convert.

Darryl Caldwell Guard (Montgomery County)- Caldwell showed the full arsenal in their loss to the Peacemakers. He has excellent size and ball handling skills. This kid shook the boots off of defenders and scored easy in traffic. He has some special qualities.

Julian Johnson Forward (Montgomery County)- Johnson’s game is similar to Caldwell’s but he doesn’t handle the pill as much. Instead he runs the floor while filling the lane and scoring in transition. He also is willing to help out on the glass.

Quadir Phillips Forward (Peacemakers)- Phillips is still a little raw but plays with a lot of energy and shows some upside. He was able to rebound and block shots in his area. Time will tell with this kid.

Jaekwon Carlyle Guard (Peacemakers)- This kid has a sick handle and loves crossing over defenders. In transition he pushed the pill and glided to the rack for easy buckets. His flair during the game is very apparent.

Nehemiah Smith Forward (Peacemakers)- Smith has a medium range game. He’s strong on the boards and will convert in the lane. He plays with the heart of a lion and has a high motor.

Semaj Motley Guard (Peacemakers)- Motley handles the pill very easy and loves setting up the defender with a slow crossover. He made some tough plays down the stretch to help his team pull out the win.
