Basketball Spotlight Future Phenom Camp Class of 2023 Top Performers Part 2

The Basketball Spotlight Future Phenom Camp is in the books. The top talent in the country brought their game to District Heights, MD and we have tons of coverage to release. The Class of 2023 had talent for all around the country and even a little international flavor. Here’s Part 2 of our report.

Basketball Spotlight Future Phenom Camp Class of 2023 Top Performers Part 2

Franklin Ayisse-Etoh Guard (Maryland)- At first glance Ayisse-Etoh appears to be a post forward when compared to his peers but once you see him with the rock in his hands your opinion will quickly change. Not only is he a big guard but he also has a play making skill set. He won the MVP of the MSAAG Friday night after launching a double-double (15 Points and 10 rebounds). During the Basketball Spotlight Future Phenom Camp he expanded his game to controlling the tempo and setting up teammates. His ability to play all 5 positions makes him a serious matchup problem. He finished as one of the Top 5 players in the camp and rightfully so.

Caleb Crawford Guard (New York)- The Riverside Church product had many onlookers in the camp singing his praises. He scored on all three levels while making it look easy. He has the rock on a string and knows his way around the floor. He also possesses unique body control that allows him to score in traffic and around shot blockers. In the open floor the defense appears to be at his mercy. This kid gets the job done.
Aden Holloway Guard (North Carolina)- I’ve seen Holloway at different events but one thing remains in common is that this kid can flat out score. He has a butter soft outside shot especially from 3 point land. He’s skilled enough to score from the mid-range and strong enough to finish at the cup. His power game extends to the other side of the ball as he used his strength and foot movement to harass ball handlers. He also showed enough ball handling and decision making to move over to the point if needed in the future. He finished as one of the top players in this event.
Bryce Flowers Guard (Delaware)- The true floor general from the First State is a nightmare to check. He has a slick handle and shifty moves that opens up the lane when he penetrates. He can score the rock but looks more impressive when he's a distributor. Delaware has been putting out a list of guards lately and Bryce name will be added to this list.
Jakary Towns Guard (Michigan)- Towns wasn’t as spectacular as he was in Ohio but he still showed some flashes of brilliance. He's relentless once he gets into attack mode while breaking down defenders for drives or step back shots. He also showed court vision especially in the MSAAG where he had a beautiful behind the back dime.
Cameron Gillus Guard (Virginia)- This was Gillus’s third trip to the Basketball Spotlight Future Phenom Camp and once again he proved he was among the elite. The combo guard has a mean ratchet from anywhere on the perimeter and when the defense over plays he can attack the rim. He’s wired to get buckets and showed that last weekend in the nation’s capital.
