Eight Is Enough Recap: Playaz Take Title

Reggie Cameron Was Very Impressive

Reggie Cameron had 16 points and Kavon Stewart chipped in 12 markers as the Playaz used a huge 2nd half to defeat the NY Panthers 60-31 and win the Eight Is Enough winter league. Master Coleman finished with 14 points for the Panthers in the loss.

Spotlight Players

Reggie Cameron Forward (Playaz)- Cameron has become a little quicker and agile on his feet. His jump shot hit bottom a couple of times but I was more impressed with how he ran the floor and maneuvered around the basket. He scored in transition and killed defenders on the baseline with reverse layup’s. He was very impressive.

Kavon Stewart Guard (Playaz)- Stewart started out a little shaky by forcing things and making a few turnovers but he turned things around quickly. The lefty just took full control of the game while shredding the Panthers with on-point passes and leak out easy buckets. When his game is flowing this team is totally different.

Joshua Marquez Forward (Playaz)- Maruqez showed me a lot of guard skills yesterday. When the Playaz were having a hard time scoring Marquez stepped by handling the rock a little and scoring off the bounce. I saw another part of his game last night.

Tre Campbell Guard (Playaz)- Campbell was a good addition for this squad. He takes some of the ball handling pressure off of Stewart. He also helps the transition game by pushing the pill and getting out in front of the defense for easy buckets.

Master Coleman Guard (NY Panthers)- Coleman carried NY Panthers in the first half when the game was competitive. The combo guard is very strong and has a nice pull up jumper in the lane. His toughness helped his squad make it interesting a little while.
