Jr. All American Camp: Saturday Afternoon Report Class 2014

Alonzo Trier Has A Lot Of Flair

The Class of 2014 was so impressive on Saturday we have an afternoon and evening report. There was wall to wall action in the grade division. Here’s a breakdown of who we saw and what happened.

Class 2014 Standouts

Alonzo Trier Guard (Federal Way, WA)- Trier comes in ranked as the top player in the country for this class. He does have a lot of style and punch in his game. He handles the pill like a yo-yo and has the power combined with the speed to get where ever he wants. He likes having the ball in his hands when it counts and looks his best when he’s getting teammates involved. Trier was so impressive he also competed in the rising 8th division.

Nassir Barrino Guard (Newark, NJ)- Barrino had a good afternoon session. He got to the bucket with a blur and tear dropped the ball over outstretched defenders for buckets. He was streaky from the perimeter but hard to control in the open floor and on dribble drives. He also likes to pressure ball handlers.

Dylan Portwood Forward (Georgetown, KY)- Dylan held his own inside scoring around the basket and grabbing rebounds in abundance. He used his size to get things done. He also runs the floor well for a post player.

Tarin Smith Guard (Ocean, NJ)- Smith loves pushes the rock and throwing passes with his left hand. He got out into transition and made teammates happy with some nice dimes. He’s primarily right handed but does a lot of handling with his left.

Tre Campbell Guard (Washington, DC)- Campbell is a guard that plays with a lot of energy and spunk. He handles the rock well bit likes to drive from the wing for buckets.

Rashad Vaughn Guard (Plymouth, MN)- They say Vaughn plays the post at home, well here he looked real good at the guard spot. He has good range on his jumper and looks very fluid on drives. He’s an athlete you need to look out for.
