Inside The MDC: 14 and Under Part 1 (Ready For The Stage)

Hall Was Very Impressive At The MDC!

The 14 and Under Division featured some of the top players in the region. Many of them are on their way to be high school standouts. Here’s a look at some of the impressive players that entered the tournament.

MDC 14 and Under Top Performers

Thaddeus Hall Guard (New Heights Red)- Each outing Hall makes dominating the competition look easier. The lefty did whatever he wanted on the floor. He drove to the basket for easy buckets, excelled in transition and knocked down the 3-ball. This spring he has been one of if not the most productive player in 8th Grade Class.

Dennis Green Guard (New Heights Red)- Green also has put together a stellar spring. He gets it done as a true point guard or from a scoring standpoint. Green quarterbacked NHR to numerous championships and should be regarded as one of the top point guards in that class.

Darius Nixon Forward (CJ Hornets)- Nixon was very productive during the MDC. He’s undersized as a forward but works extremely to get the job. He knows how to put together a nice mixture of moves.

Ron Paden Guard (CJ Hornets)- Paden showed why he is one of top shooting guards in the Garden State. He looked very smooth on the wing knocking down shots from mid range and behind the arc. He has grown in size over the past year and has made strides going to the basket.

Orlando Rodriquez Guard (CJ Hornets)- Orlando ran the point for the Hornets and seems to be playing under more control than in the past. He still has some good speed with the rock but his decision making has picked up along with his shot selection. His game is really maturing.

Joe Ricks Forward (CJ Hornets)- Ricks stood tall inside all weekend. He hammers the glass and knows how to get his left handed shot off.

Jahmal Lane Forward (MSU Skyliners)- MSU made it to the semifinals and Lane was a big reason. The versatile forward packs a load on the blocks and uses his quickness to score in bunches.

Diijon Jordan-Allen Guard (MSU Skyliners)- The defensive stopper for MSU is very long and wiry. He plays the passing lanes well and knows how to keep a hand in the face of shooters.

Mike Campo Guard (Team NJ Select)- Campo caught fire from the perimeter in one of their big wins. He’s a streaky shooter and when he is on he tickles the twine like few others.
