Diary Of A Baller: Nate "The Great" Pierre Louis (Plainfield, NJ) Entry #6

Nate At Funsport All Star Game

Hello basketball world. I just want to take a moment to thank the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Without him a lot of things wouldn't be possible. Thank you Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for everything, and for the day off lol! Let’s talk about Monday.

Monday was great. I had no school. I had to get ready for my game. It was kind of cool because I felt like I was in the NBA. Why you ask? It was my first time playing on a holiday. I had fun. We blew the team out. It was fun playing with my friends.

Tuesday, I was mad! We had to go back to school. In a way I was excited though. I haven’t seen my friends in three days. When my mom called my name to wake me up my first reaction is to always put my cover my head (isn't that every 14year olds reaction). I woke up not in a good mood. I finally went to school. I didn't talk to anyone till 3rd period. I was in a really bad mood. I actually wished it was Monday (you would've knew what It was if you read my last entry)

Wednesday, I woke up in a better mood than the day because I had a game later that night. In school we had the math block. If you're a follower of my entries you would know how I feel about that math block. I was so anxious to play I stayed after school instead of going home. My game wasn’t schedule until 8 pm but I did get a chance to watch my little brother’s play which is always a treat. When my game finally arrived I only played two quarters because we blew them away short and sweet.

Thursday was an average day. But it was brick. Well if you don't know the term brick it means really cold. 10 degrees!!!!!!! Anyways I woke up and thanked God for another day. It was garbage day so I had to do my chores and take the trash out. When I opened the door Jack Frost hit me hard. In school it was the normal day with us having a reading block.

Friday I woke up in a great mood! We had graduation pictures. It was really great day. We had three classes the entire day; science, religion and art. I was happy. Then I went to the St. Peter's University and Iona college game at Iona. I went to go to see my big brothers play (David Laury and Yvonne Raymond). Iona won and it was great to see them battle each other on the floor.

Saturday was a really long day. I did my weekly breakfast club workout. It was a great workout. Then I had to go to my school game at GSA. Next, I had to leave by half time to jet all the way to Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn for the Funsport All Star Game. We were the main event. The gym was packed. Once again I had to play against my bro Jaecee Martin. It was fun. I ended up losing by two points Azar Swan won the MVP and I won the Sportsmanship Award. It was fun. Shout out to Funsport for the great competition and those great shorts.

Sunday was great. I woke up and thanked God for another day. I smelled bacon. I jumped out of my bed like bugs bunny out of a bunny hole. It was so good. My momma can cook. Best chef in the world. I dogged her food. Then I had to get ready for my game at IS8 It was fun we blew them out. You guys read my week. It was fun. I hope you enjoyed it. Have a great week yourselves!

Duces! Nate is out!
It is okay to have faith. Take risks sometimes. Only way to grow:)
