Terrell Pitts

The Basketball Spotlight Clash For The Cup 8th Grade Division was loaded and came down to the wire. Here is Part 4 of our Top Performers.

Clash For The Cup 8th Grade Top Performers Part 4

Terrell Pitts Guard (We R 1) – Pitts is a smooth combo guard that has a high skill set. You can tell this kid has all the tools to be an immediate impact guard at the next level. He has a good handle that he uses to attack the rim and he has a nice jump shot.

Leonard Smith Forward (We R 1) – Smith is a physical power forward that is playing above the rim as we saw him dunk on a fast break. Not polished on the offensive he still impacts the game on both ends playing with a high motor, aggressiveness, and toughness. He can rebound, defend, and finish around the rim at a high rate in the half court or in transition.
Chauncey Presley Guard (We R 1) – Presley is a strong compact guard that has the ball on a string. He gets in the paint at will and likes to kick or drop off to his open teammates. We also like how he straps up on the defensive end. He had 8 points in the game we watched.
Jody Frica Forward (Milbank) – Frica is a prospect that people need to keep an eye on. He is long and very active, tough, and competitive. Jody is a forward that primarily plays around the basket for his team but we can see him long term moving out to the wing as he continues to improve his ball skills and shooting. Right now he gets most of his points from finishes around the basket from drop off from his teammates, in transition or from rebound putbacks. He had 15 points is the game we watched.
Jaaden Simpkins Guard (BABC) – Simpkins is a big strong guard that is a matchup problem at the 8th grade level. He can defend on one side of the ball and is hard to defend on the other side. He is at his best going downhill and attacking the rim or finishing in transition. Jaaden rebounds his position and also can pass getting his teammates involved. He finished with 8 points in the game we saw.
