Diary Of A Baller: Jordan Forehand Entry #20

Hello Basketball World!

It's your boy, Jordan. Just wanted to start off by saying thank you to Mike Melton for selecting me to be a part of the Basketball Spotlight All-Star Classic. It is an honor to play with so many great players. Mike has given us all a lot of recognition that we might not have received anywhere else.

Right now, I am down in Clarksville, Tennessee playing with my 15U team, Sports University, in the 15U Nationals. We advanced to the Championship bracket and are 4-1 overall. This morning, we beat the Long Island Lightning (Nick) team, who were seeded number one in the tournament. We play again this afternoon against the Gauchos. It's funny that the tournament is set up so that all the NY/NJ teams play against each other. Here we are in Tennessee and we are still playing against each other. We are having a lot of fun down here. It is very hot, so our outside activities are limited until later in the afternoon. We played our game this morning at Austin Peay University. All of the gyms we have played at are air conditioned. That definitely helps.

The 15U Nationals are a very big thing down here. The whole tournament is followed in the sports section of the local newspaper. (The Leaf-Chronicle/www.theleafchronicle.com)

Last night, we filled up on pasta and chicken parm. Pasta, the night before, is a good energy source before any physical activity. It worked for us this morning, hopefully it will work again this afternoon.

During breaks in between games, I still do my summer reading along with learning(daily) new vocabulary words. Got to keep the brain working over the summer.

That's it for now.
