KING OF THE CAPITAL 6TH GRADE SHOWDOWN RECAP: T TOWN BALLERS WIN THRILLER!

In the best battle of the day T Town Ballers defeated NJ Rivals 31-29 in overtime to win the King Of The Capital 6th Grade Showdown. We would like to congratulate both teams for giving the crowd a fierce battle to the end.

KING OF THE CAPITAL 6TH GRADE TOP PERFORMERS

MVP- Ryan Melniczak Guard (T Town Ballers)- Ryan didn’t lead the team in scoring but he dictated the pace of the game and made everyone better. He can get past any defender off the bounce and his court vision is superb. He will make any coach comfortable giving him the keys to their offense.

Logan Gale Guard (T Town Ballers)- Gale scored most of his buckets on floaters while driving down the lane. He has good body control and wasn’t afraid to get into the teeth of the defense. He made a few clutch baskets for the winners while finishing with 11 points.

Nick Neri Guard (T Town Ballers)- The confident shooter wasn’t bashful about putting the rock up. His three ball wasn’t falling but he was able score from two point range in the halfcourt set and in transition. He also dropped double digits with 10 markers.

Sean Turner Savage Guard (NJ Rivals)- Sean was on his game yesterday. The southpaw scored the rock, dribble through traps and set up teammates. His confidence was brewing in this event and of his team would won the MVP trophy would have been on his shelf.

Mark Johnson Forward (NJ Rivals)- No doubt Johnson was the best prospect in this class, Johnson should some flashes on the both ends of the floor. On offense he put together some buckets and on the other end he blocked some shots and got boards. He finished with 10 markers and could have dropped more if he made a few more chippies.
