KING OF THE CAPITAL 8TH GRADE SHOWDOWN RECAP: GYM WORK GRABS THE BANNER!

In the 8th Grade game Gym Work held off a stubborn T Town Ballers squad to win 55-45 and capture the King Of The Capital crown. We would like to congratulate both teams for a great game.

KING OF THE CAPITAL 8TH GRADE SHOWDOWN TOP PERFROMERS

MVP- Destine Evans Forward (Gym Work Training)- Evans was awesome in this event from both ends of the floor. On offense he scored in the paint and on put backs from rebounds. He tallied 18 markers. On defense he blocked and altered shots while also controlling the glass. He has potential oozing from his veins.

Rasheem Yon Guard (Gym Work Training)- The spectacular point guard had another good performance. His blinding speed allowed him to attack the lane and explode in transition. He scored the rock (17 points) and was ball hawk on defense while collecting several steals. His stock went up this summer and he was in the MVP convo.

Joel Cineus Forward (Gym Work Training)- Cinues played on the weak side of Evans. He was also a shot blocker but on offense he could put the rock on the deck and even knocked down a trey ball. He’s another Gym Work player with good potential. He finished with 11 points.

Adris Lewis Guard (T Town Ballers)- Lewis was very impressive for T Town. He got into the lane at will and either scored or dropped dimes. His handle is always low and seems to stay under control. He finished with 10 points and a good floor game.

Antonio Brito Guard (T Town Ballers)- Brito was another hard nosed guard for T Town. The lefty scored attacking the cup and did a good job on the defensive end. He scored 12 points in the loss as his presence was felt.
