Basketball Spotlight MDC 7th Grade Top Performers Part 2

Joell Idoro

The 7th Grade Division of the MDC had several new players and teams. Here’s a look at our top performers part 2.

Basketball Spotlight MDC 7th Grade Top Performers Part 2

Joell Idoro Guard (T Town Ballers)- I love Idoro game. The lefty picks his spots well and has a craftiness that cannot be taught. He can kill you from all three levels and plays with the confidence that will translate to the next level. He nailed 3 treys on his way to 15 points in their semi-finals loss to Jersey City Boys Club. Keep an eye on this kid.

Kabrian Goss Guard (T Town Ballers)- Goss looks electrifying at times especially when he’s breaking down defenders. He scored the rock in the semi-finals (25 points) including 3 treys. He’s tough to defend when driving downhill but needs to trust his teammates a little more. Some improved court vision will take his game to new heights.
Kamar Archie Forward (T Town Ballers)- Archie is an inside banger for the Capital City Team. He’s a decent leaper with a strong frame and the willingness to hit the glass. He’s good at getting put backs and playing defense in the post. He didn’t back down against JCBC big frontline.
Jordan Fusik Guard (FCP Elite)- Don’t let the size and smile fool you because Fusik is a pure sniper. He blacked out during their semi-final loss by nailing 6 treys and finishing with 20 markers. If you leave him open you are playing a dangerous game.
TJ Keese Guard (FCP Elite)- I saw something in Keese that can translate long term while running the point. He takes his time running the show and usually made some good decisions. He also showed he could also hit the open shot (4 Treys). Once he believes he can be as good as he wants to be watch out. If that switch clicks this kid could be something good.
Joshua Pintella Forward (FCP Elite)- Pintella is an undersized power forward that operates well in the high post. He’s good at hitting the face up shot and banging on the boards for rebounds while finishing with 11 markers. What surprised me most about his game was his court vision. He made some great passes and loved every minute of it.
Domenic Raymond Forward (FCP Elite)- FCP’s other inside banger was Raymond. He carved out position in the post and used it to gather some rebounds and use his soft touch to score. When motivated he can throw his body around pretty well.
