Basketball Spotlight MDC 6th Grade Top Performers Part 2

Brandon Russell

The 6th Grade Division of the MDC had some good talent. Here’s a look at our top performers part 2.

Basketball Spotlight MDC 6th Grade Top Performers Part 2

Brandon Russell Forward (FCP Elite)- Russell was a tough scorer around the basketball and had a nose for the ball. He showed some passing skills while showing some range from the free throw area. Once he gets a little stronger he will be able to finish better throw contact. He scored 15 points in their semi-finals loss to NJ Bulldogs.

William Felder Guard (FCP Elite)- The quick slasher showed his worth throughout the weekend. He scores well in the open floor and in the half court set. He scored 15 markers in the semi-finals. On defense he’s good in the passing lanes and guarding multiple positions. I like his quickness and activity on both ends of the floor.
Deuce Maxey Guard (FCP Elite)- Maxey can stroke the rock from the perimeter. The confident shooter drained 3 treys on his way to 15 points. His shooting the defense and put a scare into NJ Bulldogs before going down in defeat.
Jordan Ghee Guard (KSK)- Ghee had his best game Saturday versus NJ Bulldogs. The lanky wing showed some shooting prowess by nailing 4 treys and finishing with 21 points. When he’s playing at this level he looks like one of the best wing players in this region.
Tamarr Washington Guard (Team Spartans)- Washington is the supreme ball handler for this squad. He has a lot of wiggle in his game especially when driving to the cup. He has the ability to make defenders vanish before making a play for him and his teammates.
Isaiah Simmons Guard (Team Spartans)- Simmons is a tough bulldog type guard. He doesn’t mind defending the best player on the other team. On offense he proved he could score the rock driving or from the perimeter, he scored 14 points versus NY Finest.
Parris Moses Guard (Team Spartans)- Moses is a nice looking prospect in terms and skill set. His pure stroke helped him knockdown multiple treys in their semi-finals loss to King Street Kings. I like the way he approaches the game.
