Clash For The Cup 14U Preview: Starrett City And Youth Interlock Set To Collide!

Can Isiah Whitehead Help Starrett City Take The Cup Back To NYC!

Everybody that’s somebody has entered the 14U Division. The tournament will kick off with a bang when #1 Starrett City squares off with #2 Youth Interlock. This entire field has the chance of taking home the cup. Here’s a breakdown of the top teams and players that will be in Neptune.

Clash For The Cup 14U Preview

Starrett City: SC returns after winning the Grand Finale and Funsport. They are loaded with talent super guard Isiah Whitehead. Their highly anticipated match up with Youth Interlock should send shock waves through the gym.

Youth Interlock: YI will be making their Spotlight debut and will be looking to make an early statement again rival Starrett City. Will Shepard Garner and crew be ready for the Spotlight? We shall see Saturday!

Team Scan: TS is coming off a trip to Massachusetts. Their solid backcourt play will be needed to get through this tough field. We might have a Nassir Barrino appearance in this one.

Team Nelson: It will be interesting to see how TN responds from the Grand Finale. This road to the crown will be the toughest they have faced thus far. But for some reason this squad always seems to make a strong run.

King Street Kings: Yes, KSK returns to the Spotlight. They have some new faces so we are looking forward to watching them rock. Welcome back!

Educated Athletes: Conrad Chambers and Jaquan Johnson return for some more Spotlight fun. If anyone understands the Spotlight stage it’s EA. They won the inaugural MDC years ago.

NJ Pirates: One of the sleepers of the year made it to the finals of Funsport. Now they can’t sneak up on anyone so they better be ready for this loaded field. This will test their armor.

AGame Elite: This will be there Spotlight debut and my first time watching them without Brandon Austin. They do have a solid bunch and I really want to see their new uniforms from AGame Apparel.

New Heights: The Brooklyn Ballers have moved over to NH. So that means they have an instant credible squad. This is one of the toughest teams in the bunch. No one really wants to play them.

Other Teams To Watch For: Team MVP, NJ Predators and Team Rebels
