Diary Of A Baller: Jordan Forehand Entry #23

Hello Basketball World. It's your boy Jordan, wrapping up a wild 2+ weeks of basketball.

When I last left off, I was in Las Vegas with my dad's team, the Greenburgh Kings. We lost our last game by 2 points to a team from Utah. We had them beat, but did not execute in the last three minutes. I liked Las Vegas a lot, but I did not like the heat.

Shout outs to my GBK mates: Darren, Karim, Nnamdi, Kevin, Jimbo, Austin, Alex S, Ben S, Alex P and Nick.

Right now, I am in Orlando at the 14U Nationals with my New Jersey Shoreshots team. We went 1-3 overall. Two of the teams we should have beaten, losing to one by 2 points and the other by 6. All in all, it was a lot of fun. A team from San Diego (Dream Vision) and a team from Houston (Houston Defenders) are two of the best that I have seen down here.

We attended a mandatory academic seminar while out here. The speaker was William Anderson. He spoke to us about how important it was to have good social character, being a good student, staying away from drugs and alcohol(and people who use them) and being dedicated to our sport. It was very interesting.

Shout out to my Shoreshot mates: Jimbo, Rob K, Garret, Cheddy, Mike, Brandon, Andrew, Rob L and Nate. Thanks also go out to Coach Yonah and Coach Matt for their guidance during 14U Nationals.

After 10 days in Las Vegas and 7 in Orlando, I am looking forward to coming home. I'll have a few days to rest up before playing in Mike Melton's All Star Classic on August 15th. I am really looking forward to that. It will be a great way to end the AAU season.

J4-Out!
