Playaz Blow Up 14U Recap: Playaz Storm Past KBR Fliers

Playaz Win Blow Up

Joshua Marquez scored 19 and Reggie Cameron added 16 markers as the Playaz Basketball Club defeated KBR Fliers 53-39 to win the Playaz Blow Up 14 and Under Title. Evan Hubbard finished with 16 points for KBR in the loss.

Spotlight Players

Joshua Marquez Guard (Playaz)- Marquez does a lot of things on the floor. Today he gave me a taste of his hustle and scoring ability when attacking the hole. Joshua is the type of player that can gather a loose ball and score in one motion. I love the way he competes.

Reggie Cameron Forward (Playaz)- The defense was focused on Cameron’s outside shooting but he eventually got loose for a couple of treys. Reggie also made some moves towards the basket and was willing to post up for points. He was effective in traffic though he wasn’t as explosive as I saw him earlier in the year.

Kavon Stewart Guard (Playaz)- Stewart got off to a slow start but he got it together in the second half. When he’s on his game he’s very exciting to watch and his teammates enjoy running the floor with him. Kavon made a couple of plays in transition to remind people of his point guard skills.

Evan Hubbard Forward (KBR)- This kid continues to put together good showings. Hubbard outside shot looked good even when it rattled out. He also displayed some improved quickness and agility around the basket.
