Hello Basketball Spotlight Fans,
Welcome to my 5th entry of my Diary of a Baller.
Monday, today is the first day back from vacation so the school decides to do distance learning. School is delayed to 9:10 so I wake up around 9:00 to attend my classes from 9:10 - 2:30. After classes I relaxed for a while before lifting with my dad at Work out World. Today was back and biceps so we did awesome exercises to get me stronger.
Tuesday, online learning was required today but it started at 8:30 instead. I attend my classes from 8:30 to 2:30. After school I study for my midterms for a couple hours before heading to another lift session with my dad. Today was chest and triceps. We did some bench press and a couple other exercises. It's key to get in the gym as much as possible to be able to play through contact. After the lift session I went directly to my trainer and had a 1hr and a half skills workout before going home and hitting the snooze.
Wednesday, another day of online school. Classes were from 8:30 to 2:30. I did what I had to do in the classroom before having my 3rd lift session of the week. Today was leg day and we did a whole bunch of exercises to get my bounce up. After my lift session I had expressions practice from 7:00 to 9:30. This was physical practice. A lot of rebounding drills and no fouls were called during scrimmages. It got us better though. After I ate, showered, and went to bed.
Thursday, the first day back in school today so I woke up early around 5:45 and did my routine. Got to school and handled business before my dad picked me up after school and went to our last lift session of the week and today was shoulders. We did a boatload of exercises and got a sweat in. After the lift session I went to Brandon again for another skills workout and today's workout was strictly off the dribble shots.
Friday, today was a snow day from school so we had no school but I had to shovel in the morning. So that's how I started today. It was a rest day but I wanted to get shots up today at Brandon before going to made hoops tomorrow so that's what I did. I got up a ton of shots and my shot felt good.
Saturday, I woke up early to catch our flight to Maryland for session 2 of made hoops. We got there to check into our hotel. Our first game was at 3:00. We beat Team United by 20 and I had about 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Our next game was against New Heights. It was more competitive and we won by 10 and I had around 15 points against 10 rebounds and like 7 assists. We ate dinner, relaxed and went to the hotel and went to bed.
Sunday, the game of the day we played Team Takeover and lost by 1. We fought hard but you're not going to win them all so we just have to learn from that game and win the next ones. We got on our flight back home and I was home by 5:30 pm. I studied a little bit for my midterms then hit the bed.
