DIARY OF A BALLER: AJ DYBANTSA (BROCKTON, MA) ENTRY #4


Hey Basketball Spotlight Fans,

Welcome to another week of Diary of a Baller let's get started. 

Monday, I woke up around 8:00 to get ready for our 9:30 practice. When we got to practice, we stretched, ran over plays, did some skills and drills then got up and down for some scrimmages. After practice was done my dad was there to pick me up to do a lift session. Today was back and biceps so we did some exercises to get me stronger. After the lift I came home and iced my knees for recovery before hopping on Fortnite with some of my friends before calling it a night. 

Tuesday, I woke up around 8:00 again to get ready for another 9:30 practice. Today’s practice was really focused on skills. We did shooting competitions and ball handlings and a little bit of everything skill wise. I got home and ice my knees again for some recovery and relaxed for the rest of the day. 

Wednesday, we had another 9:30 practice so I woke up at the same time and got ready. Today’s practice was like a college practice. Every time we talked when the coaches talked or not paying attention we would run. But we got the hang of it quick and started pushing right through things and we ended around 11:30. I went to have a lift session after my dad and we did shoulders. After our shoulder exercises we did some abs before heading out the gym. I relaxed at home until 7:00 and headed to go workout with Brandon. We did a lot of skill work then did some 1on1 after and of course I had to win all three games. Then we went home, showered, ate, and hopped on the game for a couple hours before bedtime. 

Thursday, more of the same type of day. I woke up around 8:00 again for our daily 9:30 practice. Regular practice today, we went over plays and we scrimmaged a little bit. After the practice me and my pops went to lift and today was chest and triceps. We did bench press and flies and a couple extra exercises for chest and some more for triceps as well before doing abs and leaving the gym. We headed home and I went to bed because my body was tired. 

Friday, more of the same type of day. I woke up around 8:00 again for another 9:30 practice. Today was a chill day and all we did was scrimmage from start to finish and it was fun. We all competed and it got us a lot better. After practice we found out the gym was closed today and tomorrow due to the holidays, so we went home and relaxed so we can stay up till 12:00 for New Years. 

Saturday, Happy New Year’s everyone to you and your families. Today was New Year’s but that didn’t stop the grind. I woke up at 8:30 because we had a 9:45 practice but it was a light one. We were out of the gym by 11:15 and we had the rest of the holiday to chill and relax so I took advantage of that and I recovered and hopped on FortNite for the rest of the day before hitting the bed. 

Sunday, last 9:30 practice because break was coming to the end. Today was a regular practice day so we did plays, skills and scrimmaged toward the end. After practice I went to lift with my dad and today was leg day again and we did a whole bunch of exercises to get my legs stronger. After the gym we went home and watched football and relaxed.
