J.E.M. Middle School Classic Top Performers Part 1


The J.E.M. Middle School Classic brought together the top talent in the Trenton, NJ area. Here’s the first look at our top performers. 

J.E.M. Middle School Classic Top Performers Part 1 

Marjon Skillman Forward (Trenton Tornadoes)- Skillman was a problem the entire day while also battling foul trouble. He scored 24 points apiece in the semi-finals and championship round. He a total force on those blocks in terms of scoring while posting up or grabbing offensive rebounds. His strength and motor separate him from his peers on this level. He totally earned the MVP honors.

Jamar Young Guard (Trenton Tornadoes)- The southpaw started off slow in the first game but bounced back quickly. Young has the enact ability to rebound and play inside despite being a guard size. In the finals he stepped up his scoring output with 23 point while helping his squad seal the deal. He earned All-Tournament honors.

Azir Bethea Guard (Trenton Tornadoes)- Bethea’s big game came in the semifinals versus Ewing. He tallied 14 points while attacking the basket, scoring inside and playing the passing lanes on defense. Bethea also will help out on the glass in terms of rebounding.

Aivaye Ingram Guard (Trenton Tornadoes)- Ingram quarterbacked this team to the championship. The lefty set the table while feeding teammates in the halfcourt and in transition. On defense he pressured the rock and used his quickness to force turnovers.

Dylan Napoleon Guard (TCPA)- Napoleon put on a scoring clinic in their semi-finals win over Village Charter. The lanky wing guard scored a tournament high 36 points while also dropping 24 markers in the finals. Once he gets going downhill, he’s very difficult to contain. His confidence is brewing and he feels that he’s the best player in the area. He took home All Tournament honors.

Teriyon Page Guard (TCPA)- I was impressed with Page’s game over this event. I love his poise and ability to make plays from the point guard position. He scored 12 points in the semi-finals and had a solid floor game in the championship. He took home the Sportsmanship Award.
