Diary Of A Baller: Terrence Clarke (Boston, MA) Final Entry (Video Inside)

Terrence Clarke

Hey, Basketball World!

Terrence Clarke signing in for my last diary entry and I would like to thank BballSpotlight for having me for the past weeks and for giving me a chance to give you all an inside of my life. It’s been a great ride, and I’d love to thank everyone that have been supporting me including my AAU team, Expressions Elite, and my coaches and teammates.

This week was an everlasting week. I played lots of basketball day by day and worked out to my full potential since I didn’t have any games this weekend. Tuesday I had a track meet at Worcester Academy against two high schools and two junior boarding schools.  The rest of my week was an ongoing week with great workouts with my friends to keep my work ethic high. I woke up at 5:30 in the morning to work out and play king of the court, had a mini work with my friends and got in the gym to a full workout at night in one day on Wednesday. Thursday I left school to go home and was in the gym for about an hour. Friday, I didn’t get to the gym to rest but Saturday I got to play a little bit of pickup in the YMCA. Sunday, I was going to work out at my new school for next year, but I couldn’t get a ride, so it was more of a rest day to lay in bed and watch movies.

To reflect on my past diaries and my basketball experiences, I’ve been learning a lot. I realized that being a top player means hard work and I have to live up to it. My work ethic has to stay high so that I can make it far. The Bballspotlight experience showed me that there are more than millions of kid’s worldwide working for an opportunity to get to where the pros are now. Also, going to camps and realizing that there are other talents in the world tells me how hard I need to work. After some EYBL sessions, I learned that I need to play hard as well in the games and let the game come to me. After watching Marvin Bagley, Tre Jones, Cam Reddish and other top players, I can see that I have great skill, but I don’t always show it because of my lack of effort. Once again, I would like to give a huge shout out to Bballspotlight for giving me this opportunity and acknowledging my work. See you guys soon! Remember to follow me on Instagram and Twitter to keep up with me weekly.
