Super Skillcase Analysis: Dezonie has expanded his game to the perimeter. He now tries to create off the bounce and make plays. He showed some effectiveness even though he's still a work in progress. In this event his size still mattered as he bullied his way to get a few buckets. We will be watching his development closely this season.

Super Skillcase Analysis: Tyson just needs a little room and he will pull the trigger. During the Super Skillcase he got his shot off by keeping defenders off balance and then letting it go. He’s a combo guard with a scoring mentality that can heat up when he gets in rhythm.

Position: Point Guard
Class: 2018
Super Skillcase Analysis: This southpaw electrified the building with his Kenny Anderson type flow. He picked defenders apart with his sharp handle and crisp passes. When he wasn’t dishing the rock he was hitting the short pull up or trey ball. He came down to make a splash and he certainly delivered. Check for his name is April in our rankings.

Position: Shooting Guard

Super Skillcase Analysis: Adams-Woods partner in crime was Pride. The true shooting guard wore long sleeves under his jersey which must have helped him heat up because he was on fire. Pride drilled jumpers from all around the floor. He can also drive to the cup while going strong right. I like his size and range but he does need to strengthen his left hand.

Super Skillcase Analysis: I heard a lot about James beforehand so I was anxious to watch him rock. On Saturday he seemed to be in cruise control, not really forcing the action but on Sunday he turned it up. Sunday he was able to penetrate at will and either score or drop the pill off. He has some good attributes to his game and should help the Playaz make a strong push for the Grand Finale crown.
Name: Najohn Dickerson
Hometown: Trenton, NJ

Super Skillcase Analysis: Dickerson is another prospect that will get his chance this season. In AC he showed some aspects he never displayed before. He did handle the rock some but impressed us more with his improved outside shot. He nailed several treys from the corner and looked comfortable doing it. I can see he has been putting the work in.

Super Skillcase Analysis: King has been on the radar for a while but will now has his chance to shine. You have to love his length and some of the skills he possess. He was able to score from the perimeter and along the baseline. As he gets older if he adds some weight to his frame he probably would be willing to mix it up inside a little more. Nice looking prospect.

Super Skillcase Analysis: Carter introduced himself to the Spotlight world with a good showing. He dribbles low to the ground so it’s difficult for defenders to strip him. I like his scoring touch even though I think he’s more of a true point. He did most of his damage in transition. He was truly impressive.

Super Skillcase Analysis: This shooting guard burned the nets down all weekend. While most youngsters pay little attention to their mid-range game Thompson used his pull up to light up the competition. Reminds me of the legendary Vinnie “The Microwave” Johnson. I wonder who he will be rocking with this season.

Super Skillcase Analysis: Joe is a hardnosed guard that played well when running the floor and hitting his midrange shot. He looked good playing alongside Team Final teammate Cameron Reddish because both have the ability of playing either guard spot. He's a true student of the game.
Name: Keshawn Grant

Position: Forward

Super Skillcase Analysis: Grant was one of the most athletic players in the building. He gets up and down the floor quickly and can rise over others to grab rebounds. Grant also plays above the rim if giving the chance. His skill set definitely needs some fine tuning but in this player you have a true athlete.

Position: Shooting Guard

Super Skillcase Analysis: Martin can flat out shoot the pill. He took advantage of playing with so many guards that love to penetrate. When the defense collapsed he caught the rock and tickled the twine from deep. Don’t leave this kid open or you will pay.
Name: Mark Bradshaw
Hometown: Chester, PA
Position: Shooting Guard

Super Skillcase Analysis: On Sunday I witnessed Bradshaw torment defenders with his strong moves and scoring ability. Not many 7th graders can handle Bradshaw climbing up their chest when his converting a layup. He’s a quick leaper and very explosive when finishing. He has a natural knack to score.
Name: Jordan McKoy
Hometown: Westwood, NJ
Position: Shooting Guard
Class: 2019
Super Skillcase Analysis: “The Real” McKoy is fully back off his injury and looks refreshed. He glided through the defense all weekend and scored at will. It should be also noted that he has added a few inches to his frame and still has more to go. Finally, McKoy seems to have turned the corner in terms of aggressiveness. Now he’s constantly in attack mode without over thinking the situation. I was good seeing him back in the fold.

Position: Shooting Guard

Super Skillcase Analysis: Lewis made is Spotlight debut and stole the show in this division. When watching this thoroughbred perform you can see the potential oozing through his body. His athleticism is through the roof and his motor is similar to Mike Kidd-Gildchrist. I like his motion and touch on his outside shot and his ability to make plays for himself or teammates. His high flying dunks gave the crowd a treat while also swatting shots away like King Kong. Right now his ball handling and in between game should be the main priorities in his improvement. The one aspect I really enjoyed was the fact the Lewis seemed to be having fun playing the game. If he stays humble and continues to work the sky is the limit for this kid. Super Skillcase Analysis: Word is Jon Jon has been training with DJ Slackman from I’m Possible and it’s written all over his game. Wilson blistered the defense all weekend. Wilson game really stood out because he’s a pass first point guard which is very rare these days and in this setting. Even though he enjoys passing he still manged to tie together some big buckets. He showed toughness when getting in the lane and finishing among the trees. He gave several guards the business and be on the lookout for him in our spring rankings.

Super Showcase Analysis: After missing the entire 2013 6th grade AAU season with a stress fracture in his foot, Alex is back at it with intense I’m Possible Training. He was moving well at Skillcase and almost looks fully recovered. As his confidence returns, he will be an integral piece to the Team Rio national squad. At this event he picked his game up on Sunday and shot the ball well. It looked happy to be back on the floor with his peers.

Super Skillcase Analysis: Robinson let his game do the talking. He’s most comfortable in isolation situations when he can breakdown his defender off the bounce. He uses an array of crossover moves to get free and close to the tin. His outside shot was falling but he needs to work on his rotation after releasing the ball. He was a menace in transition and I like the size he has for his position. His stock is rising.

Position: Combo Guard

Super Skillcase Analysis: Gaffney displayed that smooth handle of his and ability to score from all three levels. He excels in this type of event because he can get out in transition and put pressure on the defense. Once he gets hot he can fill up the scoreboard quickly.
Name: Dajuan Piper
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY
Position: Point Guard
Class: 2019
Super Skillcase Analysis: Piper once again represented for the BK. You can see his NY style when he penetrates and finishes with bodies draped all over him. Unlike some NY guards he doesn’t try to look fancy or show too much flash but instead he grinds you out with substance. When you’re facing him please bring your lunch box because he’s coming to compete.
