"Money Team" Duo Shining At Grand Finale
Check out 7th grade dynamic duo Jaecee Martin and Shyheim Hicks of Team CBC (Conn) put in work in recent games during the the Basketball Spotlight Grand Finale. With Jaecee at the point and Shyheim on the wing it is instant buckets. Stay tuned for more from this tandem.

Devonte “The Chef” Green has been chosen for the 3rd Annual J.E.M. All Star Classic. Green starred for Team Scan while making the All Tournament Team for the Clash For The Cup. The high scoring combo guard was happy to apart of this event, “It’s an honor to play in such a great event because it’s for a great cause and the competition will be very tough” he said.
The 3rd Annual J.E.M. All Star Classic will take place Saturday, August 18th in Trenton, NJ. Stay tuned as we bring you more players that have been selected to this exclusive event.

East Coast Super Skillcase Getting Heavy Interest! (Don't Miss Out)
Basketball Spotlight and I’m Possible Training have joined forces to bring you the best basketball event of the year! The Inaugural 2012 East Coast Super Skillcase.
The 2012 East Coast Super Skillcase, directed by world renowned skills coach, Micah Lancaster, will feature the same advanced teaching and instruction that is offered at Nike skill academies and NBA workouts. Micah Lancaster has directed a Nike related training academy with Kobe Bryant and has worked with NBA players such as Dwyane Wade, Kyrie Irving, Mario Chalmers, and Nolan Smith along with many others. Now players, grades five through eight, will have the same opportunity as NBA, college, and high school stars to experience Micah's innovative skill training and teaching techniques. The Skillcase is designed to make every player feel like they are alone in the gym with Micah.
Players will be brought through elite skills training in the morning and a competitive five on five game sessions in the afternoon all under the watchful eye of Mike Melton's Basketball Spotlight. Camp video highlights and player analysis will be posted on www.bballspotlight.com at the conclusion of the event.
Through innovative NBA skills training, organized competition, and the presence of Basketball Spotlight, each player will be given the unique opportunity to "skillcase" themselves by flashing their talents, improving their skills, and showcasing their game like never before! Basketball Spotlight Alum Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was selected #2 in the NBA Draft by the Charlotte Bobcats. Kidd-Gilchrist starred in the Clash For The Cup and in the MDC with the RBK All Stars. Dion Waiters Goes #4
Basketball Spotlight Alum Dion Waiters reached the ultimate level by being selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 4th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. Waiters scored a then record 35 points at the MDC as a 7th Grader for the Philly Ball Hawks before tearing down the Grand Finale the next summer with the Playaz. Waiters also played in the Clash For the Cup when it was an all star event. Congrats to Dion and his family for this huge accomplishment. Check out his highlights from Basketball Spotlight events.

Right now he’s a dangerous wing player with top notch explosiveness. If he continues to grow as projected he might go down as one of the top players to ever come out of Connecticut.

Analysis: “Mayweather” helped his squad reach the finals by knocking out Team IZOD. In the finals his emotions got the best of him in the first half which caused his coach to discipline him. In the second stanza he came out in a fiery but the Team Final lead was too much to overcome. He’s still the leading candidate for Player Of The Year.

Potomac Valley Select Wins AGame Super Shootout
PV Wins Crown
PV Select 11U took home the AGame Supershootout crown by playing shutdown defense and sharing the wealth on offense. They came to play and seemed to be on a mission by beating the top three teams in the Northeast on Sunday. In the quarterfinals they took down Playtime Panthers, they beat Team Nelson in the semifinals, and then silenced ECE-NJABC in the chip. Their all-star roster of players and coaches seemed to mesh as they received solid contributions from the entire roster.
Congratulations to the players and coaches and keep working hard. Roster: Tyler Brelsford, Ryan Swigart, Carsten Kogelnik, Mekhi Long, Tyrese Jenkins, Justice Ellison, Jahmir Young, Terrance Williams, Hunter Dickinson and Cole Matthiesen
